Welcome to an exciting and educational hiking weekend in July!
Day trip hiking with a guide and experience some of the finest hiking tours in Grövelsjöfjällen and Engerdal, Norway. During the weekend, we stay at Lövåsgården's Fjällhotell, where you start the day every day with a good continental breakfast. Packed lunches to take with you, you pack yourself in connection with the hotel breakfast.
Our guide Lars Svanerud meets the group every morning at the hotel. On Friday, we leave the hotel yard and go on a tour that we call Lillvätteshågna round. The tour is about 14 km long and is classified as Easy, i.e. no steep climbs but one here, we walk in a fairly flat terrain that suits the vast majority of people. Here you can enjoy fantastic views over Grövelsjö and Härjedalsfjällen. On Saturday we take the cars and drive across the border and into the Norwegian side. Here we will hike over Djupsjöberget and Båthusberget. The tour is 10 km long, medium difficulty, with an ascent of approximately 300 meters in height. We take the uphills at a leisurely pace and the reward is great with dramatic and beautiful views in all directions. Including Lake Femunden in the west, Norway's longest lake. We enjoy the mountain air, the wide open spaces, the fine mountain forest and the view from one of the surrounding mountain peaks. During the hike we stop from time to time to look at some of the area's mountain plants, learn about the area's animals and history.
Satisfied and perhaps a little tired, it's nice to come back to Lövåsgården to relax and enjoy, perhaps a dip in the hot tub with sauna, before it's time to enjoy our three-course dinner.
Price: SEK 6950/person. Accommodation with full board for 3 nights and guiding.
Free access to relaxation with a hot tub outside on the wooden deck and a men's and women's sauna inside.
Number of participants: Lars takes a maximum of 14 people, so first come, first served!
Number of hiking days: 2
Transport: Guide's car + own cars
