Welcome to experience Grövelsjöfällen during magical winter weeks with good food and cross-country skiing.
In collaboration with Björn Jonsson at Experience Grövelsjön, we now offer three opportunities during the winter where you have the opportunity to develop as a cross-country skier and enjoy fantastic full board with us.
Skiing on your own in Grövelsjöfjällen's trail system is interspersed with a day of educational and fun-filled technique lessons with Experience Grövelsjön. Here, the joy of skiing and personal development are the important things, and during the sessions there will be exercises where everyone chooses how intensively they want to train. The goal is for everyone to develop in their skiing, regardless of whether it is to become faster or to be able to enjoy more future ski trips.
Dates: 1-4, 8-11, 15-18 February 2024.
Arrangement: Accommodation with full board at Lövåsgården's Fjällhotell. On Friday, the theory lesson is held at 18:00. On Saturday at 09:30-12:00 and in the afternoon a group lesson in basic cross-country technique is held. For those who want to improve their technique and develop as a skier. It is also possible to book a separate private lesson.
Program:
Friday 18.00-19.00 Evening session with theory. (Adapted after noon)
A short review of the basics of cross-country skiing, which we will then practice in practice on Saturday.
Saturday
09.00 Joint herding in the herding shed for those who want help/tips
10.00-12.00 Group lesson with a focus on balance, diagonal technique and downhill skiing
12.00-13.00 Lunch
13.00-15.00 Group lesson with a focus on staking and staking with push-off
15.00-16.00 Gathering indoors for summary.
The lessons will be held on a limited surface and as it is practice-based, it does not matter if participants have different prior knowledge. A prerequisite, however, is that you have gone cross-country skiing and enjoy exercise.
Price: SEK 4750/person for three days (Thursday-Sunday) with full board including ski lessons.

Welcome to some exciting and educational days on the mountain!
Lövåsgården's Fjällhotell is located on the edge of the mountain just below the tree line with the Långfjället nature reserve outside the door. A perfect place for those who want to experience the magic of touring skiing in the middle of the wilderness. During the weekend we stay at Lövåsgårdens, where you start the day every day with a good continental breakfast. Packed lunches to take with you, you pack yourself in connection with the hotel breakfast.
Guided by the local mountain fox Björn at Experience Grövelsjön, we take nice day trips on the surrounding mountains. Here there will be pleasure skiing with coffee / lunch places in the snow and a constant imparting of knowledge about the fine mountain nature. You will of course also get tips and knowledge about touring skiing itself for future tours of your own. Our guide Björn Jonsson meets at the hotel every morning. On Friday, we walk from the hotel yard and up towards Djupgravsstøten. The tour is 12 km and slightly hilly and with a fantastic view out over the mountain ranges. On Saturday, we take the cars and drive into the Norwegian side. The tour is called Nyröstvola, is slightly hilly and about 13 km long. Here we are met by other expanses and mountains which are a little different on the Norwegian side. Satisfied and perhaps a little tired, it's nice to come back to Lövåsgården to relax and enjoy, perhaps a dip in the hot tub with sauna, before it's time to enjoy our three-course dinner.
Skiing on touring skis is the equivalent of summer mountain hiking, where we make our way around the mountain at a leisurely pace with equipment that is more stable than normal cross-country skiing equipment because we ski outside prepared tracks and trails. The Grövelsjöfjällen are perfect for this type of skiing and there are several rentals that also have equipment in the area. The prerequisite is that you have skied in some form and like exercise in nature.
